Weekend Wrap

ALL DAY Football this weekend vs Boyup Brook. The showground oval was used for the first time in the Yr4.5s and worked well.. Thanks Tommy and Plugger for setting up the oval…JUNIORS performed well again and were challenged in all grades with a high standard of footy being played…….
STEVO and the COLTS boys had a gutsy win against ladder leaders Bridgetown…. All of the boys efforts at training and coming together as a group for presentations at the clubrooms is starting to pay off… Plenty to learn and improve on but the Club is very PROUD of your efforts…….. Reserves came within a few goals of Boyup Brook and are improving each week with numbers increasing at TRAINING….. Top quality game of footy in the league with our boys looking on the ropes at 3/4 time but were challenged and responded to record a 3 goal win…..
APPRECIATE BOYUP BROOK players and supporters staying after the game and doing their awards as well in the clubrooms. Tigers will definately return the favour on the return visit……
SILKWOOD WINES LADIES DAY was a hit once again with Champagne flowing on the verandah.. THANKS CLAIRE NICOL on once again preparing a banquet for the ladies. To all the other VOLUNTEERS who helped in the kitchen your help was much needed on a busy day… Need to ensure we keep assisting in what will be a busy year in the KITCHEN…
KARAOKE was a hit for all ages with Maree once again taking out the GRAMMY and the Millar boys and Daubs the wooden spoon… Plenty of improvement hopefully for next year fellas……
This weeks VOLUNTEER award goes to 2 players who have had a bad run with injury and will miss varying time on the sideline but have taken on various roles on game day and are a great example of what being part of a club is all about. Well done Jonno Millar and Jethro Namnick…..
Next week back to Juniors Saturday and Seniors Sunday at Imperials with Senior training Tuesday and Friday with MEALS and CHASE THE ACE Friday…… Need everyone there👍👍
